Paso Robles
This wine was elusive and really, really good. It fooled me at first. The scent and flavor initially were like a leather mushroom with a little vanilla. Then it ALL went away. There was nothing - and I was disappointed immensely. Then, just as quickly as the flavor vanished, it came back with a force. It was earthy and dark berry and totally lingered. I love a wine that surprises.Many thanks to the Guy's cousin for this experience.
